Telcom operator Bharti Airtel is giving away 10 GB of 4G/3G data for Rs 259 to customers purchasing a new 4G mobile handset. “1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through MyAirtel App,” the company said in a statement. The data will be valid for 28 days and users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer, it added.
“We are proud to have pioneered 4G network for users in India. This invitational offer has been designed for our data savvy customers who can now experience high speed broadband on Airtel’s 4G network with their new devices,” Ajai Puri, director, market operations, Bharti Airtel said.
The offer, which was first introduced in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh last week, has now been extended across India and is available across all brands of 4G handsets, the company announced.
Previously, Airtel announced a special 4G data pack that offers free and unlimited data for 90 days. “While the pack is available for Rs1,495 for existing users; new users can avail this offer via first recharge of Rs1,494,” Airtel said in a press statement.
“Fair usage policy will be applicable,” the company added. The plan, that Airtel announced, has a data cap of 30GB. Once consumers reach (and go beyond) that limit, the 4G speed is reduced to 64Kbps.
The pack is currently available in Delhi and will be launched across other circles over the next few days.
